As the Number of Illegal Immigrants Rises, So Does the Number of Minutemen

November 6, 2007

Just because the government can’t decide what to do about illegal immigration doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t.  I can’t say that I am surprised that the numbers of minutemen have gone up, and not just in places along the Mexican border.

I am not sure if anyone else saw it, but MTV had a special on a couple months ago that followed the experience of one man who decided to joint he minutemen and patrol a small area for the first time.  People from all walks of life are signing up, and all of them say they are doing it because they are American.

Dream Act Blocked

Well, it is official the bill failed to get passed onto the Sentae by six votes I believe.  I think I have said everything I wanted to say on this matter, maybe not on here but everything has been said.

I don’t think it would have encourage more illegal immigration but I do think it would have given the children who are caught in the middle a place and a fair chance.

Here’s a link to Reuters if you want to read about it.

Cheap Flights to the U.S. Border

Mexico has added several new discount airlines that fly migrants to the border by the planeful.
